An order for two new 72-page heatset presses follows EDS' move to new premises in Hungary's Vác.
One 72-page Koenig & Bauer C818 has been commissioned, and Euro-Druckservice is now buying two more.
"Our objective is to secure and further strengthen our position as the leading print service provider to customers throughout Central and Eastern Europe," says group managing director Tomáš Kramář.
The two new presses are scheduled to come on stream at group facilities in Vác and Poznan (Poland) before the end of the year.
EDS Group was founded in 1992 and now comprises seven companies in five countries with 1200 employees.
The two C818 presses - earmarked for advertising brochure production - will have cylinder circumferences of 1240 mm and 1,197 mm, a maximum web width of 1,980 mm and maximum outputs of up to 45,000 or 43,500 72-page copies per hour. Flexible folder superstructures and V5 pin folders will handle both long-grain and short-grain products.
