Newspaper and heatset inline stitching specialist Tolerans of Stockholm has joined the PrintCity Alliance in advance of Ipex in 2010. Established in 1947, the Swedish company has installed stitching systems in more than 70 countries. Chief executive Jan Melin says that “as a rather small company” in a global market, cooperating with other partners in the industry was essential. “We believe by sharing knowledge and networking together we can grow the business more effectively.” As a member of the PrintCity publishing, commercial and web activity group, Tolerans will be involved in projects, events, exhibitions and publications under the alliance’s ‘connection of competence’ slogan shared by members. Says PrintCity president John Dangelmaier, “Every new member brings special knowledge and capabilities to PrintCity.”
