Agfa is expanding relationship with RIP technology partner Global Graphics to include its Hybrid software development.

The OEM partnership will provide Agfa’s offset solutions division with access to specialised knowhow and a full product portfolio focussed on enterprise software for packaging printing.

Agfa global head of software Andy Grant says the business – also headquartered in Belgium – sees the alliance as “a logical next step”.

It will enable Agfa to build on its existing technologies to develop innovative solutions for current and future printing industry market segments.

Global Graphics chairman Guido Van der Schueren said the intensified collaboration would enable them to strengthen and grow their portfolio and to “help optimise the next release of Agfa’s software products”.

Hybrid Software has offices in Belgium, Germany, Italy, UK, China and the US plus a global partner network. Products include Cloudflow workflow, Packz and the Stepz editor as well as integration products have a user base of more than 1000.
