Naviga has been back on the acquisition trail, picking up UK subscription specialist Abacus.

The company says it will use Abacus's functionality to expand its existing content engagement platform. This includes proprietary customer data and digital experience platforms which can be used separately or combined to drive an entire content delivery process from creation and production to delivery and audience analysis.

Complementary services include consultancy and a subscription bureau for order fulfillment.

Naviga chief executive Scott Roessler says the combination will provide customers with “exceptional opportunities” to provide targeted offers and relevant content driven by data insights across multiple channels.

“Abacus brings award winning software that has been proven to help brands and communities grow engagement and revenue with personalised digital experiences,” he says.

“The multi-tenant, internationalised platform provides the sophisticated single customer view, digital subscription management and engagement functionality all subscription or membership focussed organisations now need.”

The acquisition also expands Naviga’s footprint across Europe, where Abacus’s customers include publishers, professional institutions and corporate brands.
