French sports daily L’Equipe has launched new mobile and web apps to set what is claimed to be a new standard in digital edition reading experience.
The product leverages Twipe’e new SDK for an update which allows digital subscribers to read high quality versions of the daily newspaper, giving all subscribers – whether print or digital – access to their favourite newspaper and magazines.
A new strategic partnership with L’Équipe serves more than 50,000 readers with a mobile first digital version of one of the world’s leading sports news media.
Chief digital office Emmanuel Alix says L’Equipe already offers a great app experience.
“We are glad that we can offer our subscribers now a best-in-class reading experience of our newspaper. Through the partnership, we aim to grow the engagement of our audience on our longstanding stronghold – the daily newspaper and also France Football, the magazine of the Ballon d’or.”
Founded in 1946, L’Équipe publishes the daily newspaper, a sports news website and produces several television programmes. It is owned by the Amaury Group.
