A book printer in the Philippines is adding to its single-width arsenal with a new four-unit, two-folder press currently being prepared in the US.
ImPressions Worldwide’s Tom Loesch details the process that is preparing the press for Bloombooks in Valenzuela City.
Four US-built DGM 430 mono units are being teamed with two Goss SSC folders with quarter-folders at the company’s SE USA service centre in Tupelo, Mississippi, prior to despatch to repeat customer Jose Benitez’ Bloombooks.
A team led by Gilberto Jolomna and Eric Williams is assembling the press, with updates such as new top irons, drive motors and guards. It will be rated for 25,000 cph running two single-colour webs to two folders, or up to four to a single folder.
