The expo – the largest global trade exhibition for the news publishing and media industry – will be held from October 10-12, 2011, followed by the congress and forum from October 13-15.

Co-locating the WEF with IfraExpo in Hamburg this month helped boost participation to a record 10,000 attendees. Nearly 600 chief editors and other senior newsroom personnel from more than 86 countries were at the forum.

WAN-Ifra says it will be the first time the congress has been held alongside the IfraExpo. The congress and forum will return to their traditional June dates in 2012, with a venue to be announced. IfraExpo will be held in Madrid, Spain, from October 29-31, 2012.
