The eccentricities of billionaire media moguls are something the industry needs to get used to, but it's taking time to come to terms with Jack Ma's performance aspirations.

Last year the Alibaba boss - who also owns the South China Morning Post - channelled Michael Jackson's 1993 Super Bowl performance, dancing for staff at the start of the e-commerce company's annual conference gala.

Now he's the hero of a new film, Gong Shou Dao, based on Taiji martial arts, and already being tipped as a classic.
