A half day Guardian workshop on partnering pure-players and technology suppliers will be a feature od next month's Digital Media Asia event in Hong Kong.
WAN-Ifra's three-day digital conference takes place from November 17-19, and includes conference sessions, master classes and an expo. The Asian Digital Media Awards will also be presented.
Speakers from media organisations including The Guardian, Bloomberg, Google and the Wall Street Journal will share case studies and best practices on topics including attracting a younger demographic, programmatic and native advertising, 'audience intelligence' - increasing revenues by understanding and building audiences and turning social readers into subscribers - and content A session on cultivating a culture of innovation will present lessons from start-ups and innovative pure players, and show how to inject new decision-making processes and workflows. Web TV is the focus of a session on strategies for (ad friendly) content, choosing distribution platforms and identifying monetisation opportunities.
Masterclasses will cover mobile video and online classifieds, as well as the
half day Guardian workshop, which will share insights on the publisher's dealings with Facebook, Google, Samsung and Apple.
The event is at the Mira Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, in the heart of the commercial, shopping, dining and entertainment district.
