With both Spanish and Catalan language editions of La Vanguardia and sports newspaper El Mundo Deportivo is transferring to EidosMedia’s Méthode multichannel newsroom solution.

The move will allow print and online editions of the Godó media group titles to be produced from a single integrated workflow, including tablet and mobile editions.

Chief information officer Oscar Mateu says the aim is to give readers a complete range of options for accessing news content.

The papers will use Méthode’s Portal Server web CMS to manage their extensive online editions. The Méthode platform will serve users in the Barcelona newsrooms and other offices throughout the region and replaces the Atex Hermes system currently being used for the print editions.
