Geo-targetting gets better with inMobi alliance

IP geolocation technology provider Digital Element has partnered mobile ad platform InMobi.

InMobi says it will enhance targeting capabilities through deployment of the NetAcuity Edge hyperlocal geolocation solution. The companies say this will

will enrich, “in a privacy-sensitive manner”, GPS and geofencing requests down to postcode level.

InMobi global alliances vice president Anne Frisbie says use of consumer geo-intelligence is critical for delivering best in breed mobile marketing: “We are excited to be partnering with Digital Element as one of our data partners for improving our geolocation targeting.”


Founded in 1999, Digital Element is an industry pioneer of IP geolocation technology, combining combining IP routing infrastructure analysis with anonymous location insight gleaned from commercial partners. Other ad network and mobile clients include Apple’s Quattro Wireless, Yahoo’s AdMovate, Crimtan, Microsoft and Supersonic Ads.
