German utility Deutsche Post isn't just about delivering letters.
With 470,000 employees in 220 countries, it is the world's largest logistics group.
Now EidosMedia's Méthode publishing platform is taking a role in comunications with this large, distributed workforce and partner organisations, for which it has a dedicated team of 30-40 people. They produce an internal newspaper, as well as a number of magazines, some of which are bilingual in German and English. They also make use of Deutsche Post's extensive intranet to reach employees worldwide with company news and information.
The Méthode multiple-media publishing platform replaces a system built around QuarkXpress and Microsoft Office applications.
EidosMedia country manager for Germany Holger Hofmann says the topic-driven approach is ideal for Deutsche Post's internal comunication operations: "They can launch an idea for coverage of a particular topic, assign tasks to writers and media staff and get a constantly updated overview of progress.
"Everyone working on a project has the materials and information they need at their fingertips."
