Quark's App Studio has partnered Appboy to automate digital app marketing.

App Studio says the deal will enable users to take advantage of customer segmentation, tailored push messaging and multivariate testing.

"Nurturing mobile relationships and cultivating ongoing user engagement is more important than ever to the success and longevity of an app," says product manager Elliott Lack. "In partnership with Appboy we offer App Studio users access to the type of marketing automation services - from communication tactics to user analysis - that can dramatically improve consumer engagement."

App Studio users will also be able to analyse how consumers interact with apps - such as multivariate testing of message variations to determine which generate the maximum amount of conversions.

Appboy cofounder Mark Ghermezian says it is crucial to understand who interacts with an app and how. "We help brands do this by segmenting users based on demographic, social, behavioural and in-app purchase data. Armed with this knowledge, brands can create highly targeted campaigns that employ multi-channel communication channels, such as push notifications, which are known to increase engagement."

App Studio claims to be the only digital publishing solution that allows users to create branded content apps using QuarkXPress, InDesign, HTML5 and XML.
