Want a closer look at a sandwich-throwing competition as the UK warms up for the May general election?

WAN-Ifra has what it says will be a unique trip to learn how top media outlets cover (and influence) discussion ahead of the May 7 poll.

Among attractions is an election website launched by The Sun outside its paywall, which has "exclusive access" to prime minister David Cameron and a game that involves throwing bacon sandwiches at a 'zombie' opposition leader. Meanwhile the BBC is ready with quizzes and news on a dedicated election page, a few days before a responsive site goes live on desktop.

Pure players like HuffPo will play a bigger role than ever before, following the BBC lead with a clearly branded general election homepage.

But the real battle will be in voters' Twitter and Facebook feed. Apps like are revolutionalising sentiment tracking across social media, study tour organisers say. Click here to request the Study Tour agenda

In previous years delegates have visited
publishers including the Telegraph, the Guardian, the Independent, the Evening Standard, the Financial Times, the Economist, the BBC, BuzzFeed, the Times, Daily Mail/MailOnline and Google.
