EidosMedia has appointed Guillaume Clement to head its French subsidiary as general manager following the retirement of Gérard Perrier.

Perrier has managed the group's operations in French-speaking markets since 2009.

"We are grateful to Gérard who has overseen Méthode's growth to become France's leading digital publishing platform," said EidosMedia group chief executive Gabriella Franzini. "We wish him all the best for his retirement."

Clement - previously director of professional services at EidosMedia Sarl and more recently at EidosMedia Pty in Sydney, Australia - has been with EidosMedia since 2003 where he has been responsible for the management of large-scale projects both in France and in Asia-Pacific.

"Méthode continues to add powerful new digital publishing functions to its feature set and I am looking forward to bringing these innovations to our existing customers, as well as new clients in the French markets," he said. "There is also exciting potential for EidosMedia publishing solutions outside the news-media sector, such as in banking and finance, and we shall be exploring these opportunities."

He will head an organisation which counts the majority of French national newspapers, as well as some large regional media groups, among its customer base.
