A Miles 33 system based on GN4 content management and two private cloud datacentres has gone live in the US.
Newspapers of New England uses the system for content for web, mobile and print, for dailies and weeklies throughout its group. It includes Tark4 for archiving and GNWeb for websites, the whole implemented as a private cloud. A main datacentre is in Concord, New Hampshire, with a second system in Northampton, about 50 miles away, as a full data recovery centre where content is replicated automatically.
The system will support up to 250 users spread over five editorial locations, with users
Connecting via a HTML5-based GNi4 client.
First to go live were The Recorder and Daily Hampshire Gazette, the group's Massachusetts daily newspapers. The new responsive website went live on Super Tuesday, followed by the printed edition of the newspaper the next day. GNWeb integrates the Kentico WebCMS, which was an important criteria in NNE's decision.
