Ritu Kapur, who spoke to WAN-Ifra's India conference last year after winning gold there, joins the roster at Digital Media India this month.
This time Kapur - who founded TheQuint.com with husband Raghav Bahl - addresses the "death" of display advertisement in digital channels.
Presenting the website's digital marketing strategy, she will explain why The Quint prefers non-intrusive forms of advertising.
The conference opens on Wednesday week (February 22) in New Delhi and runs until Friday.
India's digital advertising is about 12.7 per cent of the total ad spend and is growing rapidly. While search, display and social media still command the lion's share of the ad spend, growth is maturing in these mediums and with the disruption from ad blockers, it is essential that publishers find new attractive forms of advertising to feed the growth in digital advertising. Native content marketing - seen by some as more engaging and valuable for marketers - could fill this gap.
