Danish media company JP/Politikens Hus is extending its relationship with ppi Media with an implementation of the DC-X digital asset management system.

The DAM system was developed by Digital Collections, which is ppi's partner in the development of its Content-X editorial system.

Politikens will migrate some 14 million assets to the new system. the company employs about 2400 people and publishes dailies Ekstra Bladet, Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten and Politiken.

JP/Politikens Hus has been using ppi Media's classsic solutions for automated newspaper production - including PlanPag and ProPag - for many years.

Chief information officer Per Palmkvist Knudsen says he believes implementation of the digital asset management system will be a further positive experience. ppi will also offer first-level support for the DAM system, expected to go live in June.
