Seven has announced the recruitment of Clare Gill as its head of regulatory and government affairs, replacing Justine McCarthy.

Gill worked in the role for Nine until late 2019, while McCarthy is moving to a senior adviser role in the office of communications minister Paul Fletcher.

Seven chief executive James Warburton described Gill as "a strong addition" to the executive team, joining at a critical time.
