Seven days in May… INMA Congress by numbers, act soon

INMA’s ninety-second annual congress is to start next Thursday (May 5) with a bumper programme of 37 speakers to address the 22-day event.

Among them – and first up – is Will Page (pictured), former chief economist of Spotify, and author of the book Tarzan Economics.

Currently 64 participants from 24 countries are registered, but be quick, you’ve only three days left to register for the INMA World Congress of News Media, being held from May 5-26.

Leading questions to answer include what the C-suite should prioritise; how to allocate resources that scale; what to build and what to buy; and importantly what success looks like, and when you should lead and when to follow, and how to acquire and retain talent.

INMA adds another question to its list – “when to gather as a team, and when to stay home” – but you can do both at this year’s virtual event.

The agenda includes modules on leadership and ‘smart data’, bundling new subscriptions value, an understanding of ‘product’ mindsets, and the role of newsrooms as the bridge to the business of news.

The conference starts at 10am New York time, May 5, and continues on May 10, 12, 17, 19, 24 and 26.
